The Ou Kalant Cabernet Sauvignon has the bold fruit characteristics of the new world with the refined elegance of the old world. With a garnet colour and a ruby-red rim, it offers an aroma of black cherries, dark chocolate, cigar box, and mint. On the palate, enjoy the rich flavours of cherries, cassis, and red-currant, complemented by structured silky tannins, integrated oak, and a long, smooth finish. Crafted from 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, along with Petit Verdot, Cinsault, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, sourced from the Cape Coast, this wine is primarily sourced from dry farmed vineyards in the Agter-Paarl region, alongside elements from the cooler Stellenbosch area, contributing to the wine’s complexity and structure.
