Bakermat, meaning “birthplace” or “cradle” in Dutch, pays tribute to Joostenberg – home to the Myburgh family for five generations. As the premium red wine from the estate, every effort has been taken to ensure that this wine is crafted as a true expression of the Joostenberg terroir.
This vintage is medium to full-bodied and dry, offering red berry and fynbos aromas. The palate is well-balanced, with fine tannins that carry through to a long, elegant finish. Suitable for drinking now or ageing over time.
